We are a working urban farm that models, promotes and educates about sustainable food systems, environmental stewardship, community development and access to good food for all.

Lents International Farmers Market

Sundays, June 6th - October 17th (9:00am to 2:00pm)

Located at SE 92nd and Foster Road

Come enjoy farm fresh fruits and vegetables, international food, chef demos, live music and kids activities! Support a neighborhood market striving to increase food security in Outer SE Portland.  The market accepts Oregon Trail (SNAP) cards, Debit cards, and WIC & Senior FDNP checks and has a food stamp matching program. Check out the weekly cooking and gardening demonstrations at 10am and learn how to buy, cook and grow your own food on a budget. Zenger Farm manages the market in partnership with the neighborhood, and we sell our produce there, along with over 15 other vendors. Learn more.

July Farm Day! Drop-In Visiting and Work Party

Saturday, July 10th (10:00am-1:00pm)

Come see what's growing on the farm! Take a self guided tour to visit the chickens, explore the wetland and learn about urban farming. Join the work party and get dirty growing grub in the city. Community Bee Project Meeting

Tuesday, July 27th (6:30pm-8:30pm)

The community group managing the hives at Zenger Farm meets the last Tuesday of every month from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Zenger Farmhouse. Meetings start with a Bee Q&A session for the first half hour, then move into hive care and a deeper topic discussion. Everyone is welcome! Learn more.

 

Zenger Farm Fundraiser at Food Front

All month!

Shop at Food Front and give a little extra to support Zenger Farm! Throughout July, both Food Front locations are giving shoppers the opportunity to donate directly to Zenger Farm at the register. Don't miss this opportunity to make an easy contribution to your favorite urban farm. As little as $5 will send one child on a field trip to explore our fields. Help us ensure that everyone has the opportunity to see first hand where good food comes from!

Zenger Farm Annual Picnic

Saturday, August 14th (6pm)

Celebrate farming in the city with us this summer! Take a farm tour, enjoy a local picnic prepared by Bon Appetit Chef Joe McGarry, listen to live music, and watch an outdoor movie projected on the side of our barn! Learn more.

3rd Annual Farm to Table Fundraiser

Friday, October 22nd, 6pm at University of Portland's beautiful Bauccio Commons

 

Celebrate urban farming and raise the funds vital to our work educating youth and adults about where good food comes from! Come to the table and enjoy a locally grown four-course meal prepared by Bon Appetit chef, Joe McGarry, bid on silent and live auction items, celebrate the year's successes, and share dreams for the coming year.
